Stoek 0 Posted March 25, 2003 The Prometheus class ships integrated holo-emitters gave the big brains at Starfleet R&D a bright idea. Why not create a holographic Security Chief to oversee ships security. It would be indestructible and would have a response time faster than any organic being could hope to match. A prototype was made named the Starfleet In Ship Security Hologram or SISSH for short. But before the revolutionary new idea could be put in place the rank and file of Starfleet got wind of it and raised such a stink that the project was scrapped. So what do you do with a lonely proto type of an unwanted device? Well you give it to the ship that's all about second chances. Let's just hope that no one figures out that SISSH would rather be picking daisies than stopping hostile intruders. That and the strange over ride code that someone hardwired into his programming. The one that will cause him to destroy any life form from the Alpha or Beta Quardrants. So how do you trust a chief of security who's not all there? Well in fact who's not really anywhere at all? I guess you'll have to read Star Trek: Restoration, Book One: Redemption to find out.
