sea trooper 0 Posted January 11, 2006 Very good episode. Janeway's commitment to her crew makes her a fine captain.
youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted September 12, 2007 3 again. I liked the take on religion and spirituality on this one. And I can appreciate why it had to be Janeway and not Chakotay, who is more spiritual. Still, not an episode that gripped me at all.
GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted September 12, 2007 I say it is good. Janeway really demonstrated that her crew is in many ways like her family- her commitment to them is unwavering.
Stephen of Borg 2 Posted August 26, 2008 To me, this was a very interesting episode since it does deal with spirituality and faith as someone has stated above. I enjoyed it so much, I think that this is one of my favorite Janeway episode of the series. My favorite scene is probably when Janeway talks to the three people who she believes may be the Spirits that the people of the planet worship. The side story of the Doctor trying to cure Kes was also very interesting since the Doctor couldn't figure out how to help. The ending was also really good. Janeway found some type of faith, but loses it again when the Doctor discovers the scientific reason to why Kes was sick. The look of disappointment on Janeway's face is really memorable. Needless to say, I really enjoyed this episode and I give it 5 stars
