Strong episode which developed the Borg into something other than just mindless villains.

This is another episode, like Silicon Avatar where I absolutely disagreed with Picard's command decision. Again this personal moral code he had caused him to make a foolish decision that quite rightly he was eventually chewed out for by the blonde Admiral who's name I can't spell.

If I were commanding the Enterprise, I would have placed the safety of the Federation and it's citizens above all other concerns, especially the well-being of ONE Borg drone.

Nevertheless, the sign of a good episode is to keep the viewers arguing about it long after it ends, therefore this episode accomplishes that goal.

One question about this episode.

Why didn't other Borg act like Hu when they were disconnected?

Is it just that Hu was assimilated recently?

I think its an average episode just because of Picard's poor command decision, afer seeing the hate Picard has for the Borg in First Contact I can not see him feeling compasion for any of them.

4. Actually a pretty touching episode. Good acting, though I thought Crusher went a little too far in her compassion. Geordi's would stem from his engineering curiosity, so that worked out. Beverly's was believable at first, but just went too far. Good stuff though.
