HRH The KING 0 Posted May 30, 2005 This is the ONE. The Borg finally appear in TNG, and man are they scary!!!! Q was superb in this episode, as John De Lancie always is. He may have seemed to have thrown the Enterprise in front of a Borg ship simply to torment Picard, but I don't think that was the reason he did it. He did it to make humanity aware that the Borg were coming for them. If he didn't do it, then the Borg would have caught the Federation completely by surprise. Q's episodes generally always involve him trying to help or teach humanity in some form or another. That gives the character depth in addition to his obvious charm and charisma. Excellent episode. Another "Gold Standard". Rating =
youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted December 6, 2007 It's a Q episode. Of course it gets a 5. And we meet the Borg. w00t! Even Whoopi Goldberg did a good job with this one. The scenes with the drones were cool, both on the cube and in engineering. Awesome episode.
GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted December 16, 2007 I give it a 1. Hated the Q. Oh, and thank you Q for introducing us to the Borg. Real good move for a so- called omnipotent being
