A pretty good episode.

The Graves character was interesting, in his quest to never allow his knowledge to be lost in oblivion when he died.

It also gave Brent Spiner to break out of the restrictive Data character for a while to become a genuinely dangerous threat.

Few problems: I find the idea that this one scientist has an entire PLANET at his disposal hilarious. Surely the Federation would use it for a colony or base? Also laughable is this idea that he is all alone on the planet with just one assistant.

Honestly, if I was a scientist living alone on a planet for years with just one "Shy-Meek-Little-Pretty-Blonde" assistant with me, that planet would already have a growing population.....if you know what I mean (and I think you do) :P B)

I htought it was rather good, the idea of Data having a sence of.....

hm, what would you call it?

sence of.......well. he was more human.

though it was "grandpa"

It was rather amusing

I was totaly stoked!

When Data (grandpa) told off Picard!

I had voted this one a 4, though it had potential to be a five.. it just seemed lacking. I mean the acting was great for what the script provided. But it did not seem as good as say "Measure of a Man" or "Elementary My Dear Data" or a couple others in this season or even in the entire series.

2. Didn't care for this one. Even though it was nice to see Spiner break out, I was just so disgusted by the character of Graves (which means it was acted beautifully) that it just turned me off from this episode, especially because it was the entire episode. Nothing really in the way of subplot.
