The Xindi attack against the Enterprise is called off and Archer is returned to the ship. Enterprise retreats while they make repairs to the badly damaged ship (14 dead and 3 missing). The crew comes in contact with another damage ship and bargain for the ship's warp coil because the Enterprise needs one. They are denied and the crew of the Enterprise are forced to do something they never thought they'd have to do, steal it.

 

This is an interesting episode because we learn even more that the real enemy against the humans aren't the Xindi at all, but another species. That the Xindi are only being manipulated into thinking that the humans are the enemy. Overall good episode that shows that ever the crew of the Enterprise can be bad and steal parts if they need to. We also see the darkside of T'Pol and discover that she is addicted to trillium-D. "Damage" does a good job at showing our darkside

4, but an incredibly weak one. T'Pol's addiction was ridiculous. Archer's unethical move was actually not as bad as it probably should have made me feel. Hard to call it absolutely necessary, but quite interesting. Nice look at humanity's darker side.

A great ep. I just wonder whatever became of the Illyrians? I hope they made it home alright.
