Let's let this be a lesson to all of us

Today has been an usual day. I planned to go to the hairdressers after dinner at 1pm.

Mum made sure I had my phone and my keys with me then I got out of the car and stepped onto the pavement.

It was raining heavy and I stepped out in front of my mum's car to cross over and ran until I found myself flying backwards onto the pavement. My head smacked down and my back and neck.

My mum got out of the car and someone called an ambulance. I was so scared and shocked and painful. Soaking wet, covered in grass, in agony, with loads of strangers looking over you.

I had a neck brace on and one of those head supports. I was lyiing in the A & E for ages, whining and crying.

I'm at home now, sore and aching.

 

It was a mistake, I've learnt from it- but like people say it can happen to anyone and please, take my advice and be careful!!!

I'm so sorry you were hurt but relieved that you weren't hurt worse. Too many people drive too fast. Hope you have lots of friends and family close by to help you. Best wishes for your speedy recovery.
