I still can't believe you have not seen 2001 or Forbidden Planet, they are two of the all time best sci-fi movies ever and I would really recommend that you have a look at them because they are fantastic films. If you like TOS then Forbidden Planet is for you.

 

I did steer away from putting the obvious choices such as the Alien in Alien or Darth in Star Wars (does he count as he was really the hero by the end?). If you have not seen any of the above films then I welcome any suggestions.

I nulled my vote as I only saw Planet of the Apes, The Thing, and Body Snatchers... and I didn't like any of those villians.

Can you really include the Id, the Krell had been gone for 1000s of years. It was the knowledge, and machines that the Krell had left behind, that gave Morpheus the power to create the monster from the Id
