mj 7 Posted January 3, 2005 For me, she will be fondly remembered as a confident congresswoman who served her district well, and remained someone I could admire throughout her career. I remember her confidence most of all. Rest in peace.
Theunicornhunter 2 Posted January 3, 2005 I saw a couple of quotes at the CNN site Once discussing what her legacy might be, Shirley Chisholm commented, "I'd like them to say that Shirley Chisholm had guts. That's how I'd like to be remembered." It sounds as if she'll be remembered for that and so much more. My condolences to her family.
