Click For Spoiler Search Written: 1-26-02 I searched a realm of dead, scorched earth Looking for the one thing the will make me once again human Under a sky of vicious tormented grey clouds Broken by white-hot veins of angry lightning I wandered this barren wasteland Failing to notice how cracked and broken my skin was Or that my feet had been worn down to dead yellowed bones Finally I came to the realization that my journey was at its end Tears of blood flowed down my cheeks as I lay to sleep in eternity I closed my eyes and held my breath As I opened my lids to looks one last time upon the sky I looked instead upon your face How you found me, I know not But find me you did, and, in doing so, you have saved me You reached out your hand, and I accepted it Once I stood by your side, the sky didn't seem so hostile anymore And I saw that where my blood tears touched the ground Grass and wild flowers forced their way from the dirt It was then that I knew What I was searching vainly for had found me My search was for you Through you, and with you My decayed soul can finally begin its healing process It's considerably more morbid in tone than the lyrics of that song (which aren't really morbid), but the feeling is the same.
