Theunicornhunter 2 Posted December 19, 2004 I know the question has been asked before but if you could be another person for a day - who would you want to be? I think I've watched too many episodes of The Outer Limits because I always expect a "catch" to a question like that so I would say no one. But if I could experience being someone else for a day wiht no tricks I think it would be someone who has shown the determination to succeed or has shown courage in their life. mj 7 Posted December 19, 2004 I would like to be my own father the day he stepped on the campus of the state university he played football for. It was a major transition for him, because he had never dreamed of going to college, and an opportunity arose for him to go to college on a football scholarship (when it was rare for blacks to have this opportunity). He had gone to segregated schools, and had very little interaction or exposure to whites. I would just like to step in his shoes to see how he felt that first day. Was he afraid? Was he confident? Was he shy? He must have felt like a fish out of water. He told us some things about those days, but being male of that era, did not say much about how he acutally felt. My own life experiences were very different from his, having always gone to integrated public schools, and having had white friends from kindergarten. And I was always expected to go to college. I would have liked to be my dad for that one day. Because I think he went through whatever he went through for us, his non-existent future family, for all the best reasons.
