master_q 0 Posted March 21, 2003 {Official} Star Trek Trivia #3 ******************* When a hostile force took control of the NCC1701’s computer the science officer made that force try to calculate the ratio of the diameter of a circle to its circumference completely. Why would the science officer do this? ******************* A: When doing the problem it would go on forever because it is an irrational #. Like 2^(1/2) B: When doing the problem is would go on forever because it is an irrational #. Like (1/9)^(1/2) C: When doing the problem it would loop with its pattern because it is irrational #. Like 2^(1/2) D: We cannot find out the ratio because it depends on the circle making the computer repeatedly try to figure it out E: When doing the problem you come to a complex number (i) making it not possible to calculate with out knowing the exact specifications of the circle in question and making it not factorable to solve F: None of the above Answering: Send myself a private message (do not answer here!)
