Problem with AOL Instant Messenger

Shrek has been having this problem with his AOL Instant Messenger where he can see what the other person is typing, but he is unable to respond back via the AOL Messenger, since he cannot type back.

 

If anyone has any advice pertaining to this, it would be gladly appreciated.

(I'm posting this because Shrek is very busy at the moment.)

When that happens to me I just log off and start over, it usually fixes the problem for me.

Never had any problems with Aol instant messenger when i had that service worked fine for me sorry couldn't help there only because i've icq im instead and use to juggle both im ICQ/AOL a few years ago.

How high is his warning level? The heigher it is the less he can do. If its at teh max i dont think you can type.
