master_q 0 Posted May 2, 2003 Update Ritualistic reports that Star Trek Elite Force, the sequel to Star Trek Voyager Elite Force, has gone beta and will be released worldwide on June 24, 2003. Activision yesterday released the first official trailer, displaying a series of game sequences; a 22mb version of the trailer is available for download at the official Elite Force II site, while a smaller version is available on Star Trek Norge. removed 0 Posted May 6, 2003 For all those interested, Elite Force two has released a pre-release demo. It's kinda buggy, but it's still really fun. the weapons are pretty cool. I you have a good video card, it'll look amazing. I have an now out-dated NVidia Geforce II MX 64 MB and it still looks great and runs really smooth. Even though I only run it at 800x600 resolution, I have all the colour depth and texture quality levels cranked to the max and it looks awesome. It is a far improvement from the first Elite Force. I don't enjoy the in-play music so far though. It's not up to par to a Star Trek game. Just sounds a bit odd. Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast had amazing music, and next to that this music is pretty bland. From what I've played of the demo so far it looks pretty good. It reminds me of Aliens Vs. Predator 2 (Marine Campaign). The main characters have great voice acting, but so far the alien allie voice acting is only average. BUT, then again, it IS still a demo. It's still more than a month away from release, so I'm sure all the graphics and voice bugs will be fixed by then. It's fun. Try it.
