Jeanway 0 Posted August 4, 2004 Just as the sun rises in the East and sets in the West. Does the Moon? I just had a discussion about this with someone and neither of us knew the answer. Do you know?
WEAREBORG4102 0 Posted August 4, 2004 It sets and rises in the same position. But like the sun at different times.
Jeanway 0 Posted August 22, 2004 I just found out the moon doesn't rise and set in the exact same place. The cycle is something like 9 1/2 years. But the cycle is so long that it hasn't really been studied until recently. Just a few degrees difference over that span of time is barely noticable, that's why we all thought it was in the same place all the time.
