~~ Appestat ~~

Recommended Posts

Anyone ever noticed that before you get hungry, you build up to it gradually? I'll be sailing along here, just fine then the thought of food just pops into my head for a second, then it goes away. Then after a little while there it is again. This time for a little longer. And by the third time, I start thinking about what there is to eat. I wonder if anyone can explain how and of course, we all know why, this happens. I've heard there is such a thing known as the 'Appestat'{ I may have mispelled it} in your brain. I'm sure it has to do with blood-sugar levels but does anyone know anything more about this?

Your body measures the amount of glucose and other forms of generating ATP. This triggers the mechanism that makes you feel full.

I know, that applies also. Your body only tells you if you are hungry if you have low ATP.
