Theunicornhunter 2 Posted June 17, 2004 On another thread we were talking about basic fitness. In conversations with family and friends I've often commented how pathetic it is that citizens of the richest country in the world don't know how to eat. So, do you know? The foods and recommended servings of the USDA food pyramid? Difference between RDA and MDR? What does your body burn during exercise? What signals your body to store fat? Should you drink water while you exercise? How to calculate target heart rate for exercise? Should pregnant women jog? Is there an increased risk when exercising while pregnant? If so, risk of what? What is the most common vegetable consumed by American children. What is an empty calorie? What is the sunshine vitamin? Should you limit the minerals in your multivitamin if you take bp medication? Which vitamin do you avoid if you're on a blood thinner? Can you drink too much water? Which vitamins are good for vision? Which vitamin helps you absorb calcium? Can you reverse bone loss? Please feel free to educate us on any of the above or to ask some more.
ARMS 0 Posted June 17, 2004 Should you drink water while you exercise? Not during, but during a break in exercise. What is the sunshine vitamin? D (essential for healthy bones and teeth) Can you drink too much water? Yes, when you drink too much, your blood pressure rises, and actually crushes your red blood cells (the oxgen carriers). Theunicornhunter 2 Posted June 17, 2004 Too much water after exercise will also give you a head ache. However, not drinking enough water will also give you a headache - I have to worry about this on Saturdays because it is so hot and humid here and when I'm running errands I forget to take water along. You can also drink too much water if you're dieting - reduced intake - and wash too many nutrients out of your system.

ILIKESEVEN 0 Posted June 17, 2004 If you go out to a bar and you drink a lot alcohol then you have to drink at least 0,5 liter water before you go to bed, it helps to breakoff the alcohol faster in your blood and the chance of a big headage the next morning is very little. So i heard, i never drink
