Anyone Care To Guess What Those "beams" On

Just saw E2, but i was wondering. Anyone got an idea as to what those "support beams" on the bridge of the "generation ship" enterprise might have been?

Yes, that would come in handing on a "generational ship" such as the 117-year-older Enterprise NX-01, but I'll need to rewatch E² to look them more closely....

That's a good question. I was wondering that myself. They must be connected in some way to the engines. They seemed to pulse with the engine. And when Archer's Enterprise cut their power, the beams went out.

I thought it was a nice touch all in all. There where a few other modifications in the hall-ways in one seen between Archer and Karyn.
