Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted April 9, 2004 I just watched the two previews at the movie website, and after watching the second one, something occured to me. They gave away the movie's entire plot from B4, to Shinzon being a clone, Troi's mind rape, B4 being dangerous, the Kolaris adventure, Picard & B4 using the Scorpion fighter, all the way to the ramming sequence. Could this be part of what hurt the movie?
ussacclaim 0 Posted April 9, 2004 Picard & B4 using the Scorpion fighter, I thought it was Data and Picard, but I haven't seen it in awhile so I could be mixed up Anyway, I find that alot of movies are doing this lately. The two events (preview/low box office) could be connected, at least I hope so. On teh next movie, have a real vague promo and see what happens!

stoned_vulcan 0 Posted April 10, 2004 it wasnt that that hurt the box office ratings it was the fact that the script was leaked out.. i think that had the most profound inpact...
Stelfan 0 Posted April 13, 2004 I agree that the preview is badly done and gives away to much, however I think the fact that we have seen the movie makes us believe that the preview gives away even more then it does..
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted April 13, 2004 I agree the previews did end up showing most all the important plots but I didn't know that till after I saw the film. Based on the script I read, I expected going in to see much much more but turned out the film had been hacked to pieces and/or had deviated from the excellent work originally done on the scripting.
