I need help tracking down a movie!

There's a movie I really like, but I can't remember any names that would help me find the movie, so I'm gonna describe it a bit...

 

There's this boy that the movie focuses on, and there's a church or house or something where an angel lives who protects the boy. There's also a scene where the boys classmates lock him in a school closet and he's later almost killed by a wierdo who breaks into the school. The boy's uncle's nuts too and tried to kill him at one point. Also, the big brother steps on a big chunk of glass while wearing socks. The movie ends with the boy on a cliff over the ocean while the angel saves him from some guy.

That almost sounds like "Sixth Sense" but I don't believe that's the one you are talking about. Do you remember who's in the movie?
