The greatest moment to me is in "Encounter At Farpoint" when Jean-Luc steps out of the dark in the beginning of the episode. *sigh*

Just one moment? Tough...I'd have to say near the end of Chain of Command when Picard yells "There are 4 lights!" bevore being released. It just reminded me of the greatest book ever written: 1984

Have considered this a bit longer the other moment of a TNG episode that I enjoy is when Picard finally gives up his pride and admits to Q that: "I need you", in the episode QWho.
