  1. Physics...just did this. (Love that class btw) Basically, yeah. The closer to the speed of light you travel, the faster you go. It's an exponential increase. The time you save by going faster is basically non-exsistant, untill you get going about .8 times the speed of light, then, since it's exponential, after that speed, the rate of time slows down, however only to the people around you. You would also seem to be really stretched out. (As already graciously explained by Viper)

To get time travel, you must look at worm holes. To get worm holes, you basically colide 2 black holes together. Think of space as a piece of paper. Make a 2 marks, each on the edge of the same piece of paper. Then fold the paper. As you see, the 2 marks are closer now. This is what worm holes are suppost to do. Now, to take this theory into time travel: basically you use one of these worm holes, going very close to, if not at the speed of light. Bringing back the twin theory, you will have gone a lot slower in this worm hole than anyone else. You then return generations ahead of your time. However, with this, you only go forward in time. You'd have to be going so fast that you go backwards in time, which, as Viper also stated, would have to be faster than light, which is impossible. Relativity = very confusing. Almost as confusing as time paradoxes.

  2. Wow......way too cold for me. Call me weird or anything, but wow....... For me, I can stand tempeatures around 100 F, 110 starts to get anoying. But anything under 65 F ........... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Freezing. You could freeze ice at that temp  I envy all of you who can withstand tempeatures like that.

  3. We're all geeks, since we're here on a star trek site (And I'm proud of it thank you very much) however, some people are worried about what others might think about them. Never fear, here are some suggestions i found on the internet. They might help :(

Ways Geeks Can Hide Their Geekiness

    11. Shelving the Star Wars and Star Trek videos in the back behind the Steven Seagal films.

    10. Calculating their blood sugar level at the bar while alone in the bathroom.

    9. Pouring caffeinated water into Evian bottle before taking it to work.

    8. Keeping the AOL icon on desktop.

    7. Pretending to use pencil and paper to calculate the tip after a meal instead of just doing it in your head.

    6. Putting on Star Fleet uniform at convention hall, not on the bus on the way to the hall.

    5. Keeping the programming books under the mattress, next to Sports Illustrated and Motor Vehicles.

    4. Pretending Liv Tyler poster is for her performance in the video for Crazy, not for her role as Arwen in The Lord of the Rings.

    3. Rearranging CD collection so it's not in alphabetical order before friends come over.

    2. Cleaning the office.

    1. <My favorie  >Only answering the phone with "Engineering this is LaForge" after checking caller id to make sure it's one of your friends from the Linux Users Group.

  4. I would be sooooo cool to see a Voyager movie, since it's the best series in my oppinion. However, I doubt it's going to happen. The next one will probably be either DS9 or ENT :( However, if they are smart, they would make a voyager movie. That's something I'd put money into

  5. I'm not exactly sure about the opening credits (I'd have to watch it again to pay attention to them) however, Nemesis was a really good movie. The special effects were excelent. Granted, data dying was really sad, but it was still cool. I really liked it. The thing I found with Nemesis was that it either got really good reviews, or really bad ones. The only thing I can come up with is that there's something in that that everyone has a big difference of oppinion on. I loved it, it was very cool.

  6. So are you saying that the ship in ST IV: The Voyage Home, was goining at warp 10? That seems a little far out for me doesn't it? Could they really get a ship from THG going that fast? I even thought for them to be going 9.9 was too big in itself. but yeah, sounds about right.

  7. I'm just a little confused about this. I've heard that once you reach warp 10 that you are going so fast that you occupy every point in space at once. I've also heard that once you reach warp 10 you will EVENTUALLY reach a speed where you're everywhere at once. I've also read that you need an "unexhaustable power source" Would you also be able to controll anything over warp 10? I know they went over it in Breaking Barriers (VOY) and then they mentioned going warp 13 in some TNG episode, but exactly how fast was that? ::cloud9:: Almost as confusing as time paradoxes :cloud9:

  8. VOYAGER

    = THE BEST!!!!!!

DOODS, like seriously. Voyager is soo hillarious. The doctor just brings the whole thing in. It's a lot different than a lot of the other st series. For one, everyone's a lot closer. This is because they're the only ship to really "get stranded in the delta quadrant" and it's actually not that big, so yeah. Janeway is also my favorite captain. But, then again, it was all about the Doctor. Now he was cool. He is one of the people that make the series. I have cried in 2 star trek movies / episodes. One was when data dies in Nemesis, but the other one was when Voyager makes it home lol. IT WAS SOOOOO COOL! A fight against the borg to get home, you don't get any more dramatic and cooler than that!

  9. Well, all this is true. And to tell you the truth, enterprise isn't my favorite st series, and I don't think they should have met the borg yet, and my friends and I had a big argument about how they fit that in the timeline, but all is good right? I mean, it's star trek, it really can't get bad. At first I didn't like it at all, but I think the actors were still worming up to their parts. And Archer is a cool captain. Phlox has a lot of dry humor, and I've always liked that. I haven't voted yet just because I can't make up my mind lol, but is cool. very.

  10. A friend sent that game to me a couple of days ago. Gotta love it!

HAHAHAHA! YES! just got a new record! 316.9. I am now good at something  my life is now complete!
