  1. What do you mean, the males would have to have been females first?

Crocodilians have more males when the eggs are kept at the top of the range, more females occur when the temperature is at the bottom of the range. It sounds as though they are suggesting that the dinosaurs had a reverse of the phenomenon.

  2. There's also that key that a man punished by his government (they killed his family) used to get Odo's help in rescuing his daughter, they determined that it was distantly related. Didn't they find something in DS9 on that uninhabited planet with mists and moss where someone got sick?

  3. What I heard about the Queen, was that she had the body of a Species 125 because she'd taken the body, her skull and spine are completely cybernetic (First Contact). She's easily distracted, poke her and the Collective crumbles. I believe that she was added so that Voyager had a chance of surviving. The Borg that the Enterprise ran into would have taken Voyager immediately.

  4. The Vidiians were meant to represent what we or any other race could have been, if faced with such a terrible disease as the Phage. It's a good thing that the Think Tank cured it for them. It seems that so many were infected by the Phage that the entire culture devoted itself to preserving them for as long as possible, even at the expense of other races.

  5. I do disagree with you on some points, mainly on the subject of the Borg. A Borg Queen ruins the Collective, she's a center in a decentralized society. She's their weakness.

I also have a problem with Voyager being lost. They knew exactly where they were, they knew where to go, it would just take them a long time to get there. They weren't lost.

  6. Wasn't Voyager his first or second posting? He shouldn't have been promoted before Voyager, after all, remember his encounter with Quark? Quark so had him good. However, after the second season he'd been through a lot, just about everything bad happened to him. He'd done a good job too, so I think he should have been promoted. It was just sick and wrong to make him do seven years of excellent bridge work without notice. He's even commanded the night shift!

  7. The creature that killed Lt. Rocha and Moira might have been an early ancestor or relative of the Founders, but since it only had the memories of its host (Moira didn't seem like Rocha) I don't think it's actually sentient. Unlike the Founders, who have a distinct form, the coalescent has no form until it takes another's to eat it.
