  1. B5 and SG1

One series I wanted to watch but couldn't (didn't have the channel), and another series I don't feel like watching, but probably should. :frusty:

I've seen alot more of B5, and really want to buy all the eps at some point in the future. I just can't make myself get interested in SG1 for some reason. I vote B5.

I have not seen the SG1 series; I loved the movie but just can't seem to get into it and like Ace said, it's probably something I should try since so many Trek fans praise it. I have seen almost every B5 episode and I love B5. Crusade was also somewhat interesting, but it really wasn't going anywhere, so I see why it only had one season :P

For B5, I always get excited when Delenn goes into her cocoon thingy, b/c when she comes out she has hair!!! One of my favorite episodes is when she is having a bad hair day and seeks Susan Ivonave's (sorry for spelling :P )

  2. Amen to everything Julie said :)

I wish I was as popular as VBG, RC, or Takara. I only had ONE person advocating me. but, with all due respect, I'll take this one person advocating for me then the rest of you against me.  :)

I haven't known Jim as long as Julie, but in the time I have known him, he's come to earn my respect and friendship and I believe he would make an awesome captain. I could not explain it any better than Julie already has. :)

  3. the Prime Directive is, basically like Nemesis said, a policy of non-interference with cultures of lesser technological development. the mainjudge of this in Star Trek has been weather or not a people have developed Warp drive.

I agree, Julie; the first contact rule seems to come in effect whenever a civilization develops warp drive.

I read that page you linked here, Alterego. The Prime Directive is so strict that people may die just to prevent any interference with a race's development? Seems a little on the harsh side, and I see now why Captains often struggle with obeying the PD, especially if obeying it means you have to sacrifice crewmembers :assimilated:

  4. I, too, cried when Spock died. :tear: For the longest time, I never saw "The Search For Spock" so I was always confused as to how he could have died in "The Wrath of Khan" and then suddenly be alive in "The Voyage Home" But I was a child then and did not understand such things. Now that I am older and have seen all of the movies, it all makes sense!!
