  1. This is why people who know little about space travel and more about how to get re-elected should not be making these decisions. It's completely improbable to have any of these achieved in at least 20 years. Look the Space Station has yet to be completed yet.

  2. Actually the Romulan peoples are actually not that sneaky as most people precieve, most encounters with Romulans expressing sneaky motives occur with the Tal Shiar rather then the Galee. Also if you look at the TNG Romulan episodes involving Spock, and also the one where Troi was disguised as a Tal Shair operative showed a source of honour with in all Romulan ranks willing to change and rebond with their Vulcan bretheren.

There are also more things you need to consider about Romulans and Klingons, a Romulan tactic is far more sound then a Klingon tactic which is go in with disruptors blazing, sneaking on the enemy and getting the upperhand in the battle. Hmmmmm which one would you choose.

You may also have noticed that most encounters with the Romulans were in defense of their space when the Enterprise was going where they shouldn't have. There are many common misconceptions on the Romulans that exist because of their lack of exposure on Star Trek

  3. I know several gay people and most people would never know they were, most things you discussed were mainly stereotypes and if Star Trek did have a Homosexual individual on star trek would mainly just have a differant sexual preference and would not be anything more which it shouldn't be, because anything else would only be an insult to homosexual individuals.

As for the poll I selected Data for it would fit for him trying to gain more area's of his own blooming humanity.

  4. Ah, but remember, in 1961, we did not have the technology yet to go to the Moon, yet when President Kennedy challenged America to put a man on the moon, we answered the challenge in a way in which only America can. we didn't put ONE man on the Moon, we put TWELVE men on the moon.

And lots of people died because improper testing and maintence and if an accident should occur it would greatly damage the space program as people are a lot more used to successful space mission rather then fatal failures.

  5. It's a stupid idea we don't have the technology to do it yet and won't for many years because attempts for a self producing bio dome have proven unsuccessful. I think Bush is just attempting to stir excitement but these will never happen with in the next years, station on the moon maybe but a manned mission to mars could not occur because of the lack of space available to store mass amounts of resources such as food and water as well as equipment. So I think its stupid.

  6. Well Hello peoples, I came from St.com well in some ways didn't really chat there for a long time because people who chatted to disappeared somewhere in the galaxy so I stopped chatting then. I must say a lot of people there are friendly and a lot aren't just like the real world and you must also take in that ST.com attracted a lot of those only partial fans because it was a more direct site and so those people didn't share the love of Startrek as other people and only liked the explosions and phasers I take it and didn't really get the big picture.

ST.com does offer many good things and will continue to do so such as STSF simming, a book club, and meetings with Star Trek stars which I have been to all (except the book club don't quite know when to go there). So don't judge it on a few bad expriences its a nice site for information on trek and I love it and I hope I grab the same feeling of this site
