  1. It would've been awesome if the Borg were the "children" of V'Ger/Decker/Ilia from Star Trek:The Motion Picture.Too late for that now,of course.Unless, they throw in an odd time-travel spin,in which the joined V'Ger entity somehow transported back in time (maybe falling through a hole in space-time?)...

  2. James Tiberius Kirk.

The guy was making hard decisions before DS9 and Sisko...

He was thinking his way out of problems before TNG and Picard....

This guy hated to be called "Ma'am" way before Voyager and Janeway...

He was walking around bare chested long before Enterprise and Trip Tucker....

  3. Hey,red, you're talking about my favorite movie!

I'll agree with Mrs.Kirk,I loved the welcoming scene. When I first watched it,I was mortified because one of my black friends was sleeping over (we were like 12 or 13),but he was laughing harder than I was.

Its great the way Mel took comedy and just bashed bigotry over the head with it.

    I can't think of a Brooks film,I don't like,and I'm pretty sure I've seen them all.

The Producer's was great, too."Springtime for Hitler",was a funny song.I can just see the press for a Broadway musical like that today.

  4. It all depends on my mood. There are days I want to see a lot of explosions and gunplay, and so I'll watch First Contact or Nemesis.Other days I want to see the character interactions and relationships, and then I'll watch one of the TOS films,or Insurrection.I liked the Picard-Anij thing. If I had been Picard,I might have stayed. Its not like he has anything left for him back on Earth.Hey,maybe when he decides to retire,he'll return to the Baku homeworld and live forever?

  5. I wrestled my junior year in high school, but didn't have a particular good experience,so I never went out for any other sports.

:P Hey!Are you the guy Tinkles choked out?Was that the bad experience?hahahaha....just teasing,Cap'n smiley!

    Heehee...I'll bet he was.

    :P

    How about it Smiley?

  6. I believe in ghosts.

I usually won't get into conversations like this, since I don't like being laughed at or thought a fool,or told that I could not have experienced things that I clearly have by people who weren't present. But I have encountered ghosts before.

Ghosts and "other" things.I have actually been physically assaulted by such once, when I was eleven years-old.Given a nasty shove.

    Wow.Really?

Want to explain exactly what happened?I won't laugh at you.I'm just curious.I love supernatural phenomenon. If you don't want to post your story, maybe you could just send me a PM?Or,if you don't want to explain, that's okay,too....but,I really would like to know the story of that attack.

  7. I always figured that it would be part of the treaty of the Dominion War that the Dominion would be required to leave the Alpha quadrent.

I would think the Alpha Quadrant Alliance would have at least insisted on these terms.

Like a few others here,I'm not too sure the Dominion was too badly hurt by the war. Now,if the Alpha Quadrant Alliance had been able to take the war into Dominion territory in the Gamma Quadrant, and maybe rallied a few of the worlds under Dominion authority, then the Dominion might have been in real trouble. But as it was,the conflict was almost entirely fought in the Alpha Quadrant and the bulk of the Dominion military was denied access to the Alpha Quadrant.

Let's hope Odo can mellow out the Great Link.Though,I have to wonder how much influence a single changeling can have on such a massive group consciousness.Especially, when that group has hated solids for so many years.
