  1. 1. They have a lot of canon characters, I think they consider it canon.

    2. There is "The Path to 2409": http://www.startrekonline.com/node/88

I am not big into gaming but I do have a couple questions about STO.

Is it considered canon and 2nd, is there somewhere the "story" of what's occurred can be read?

I am primarily interested in events after the destruction of Romulus.

  2. Now is anyone here playing it? I am, as @Krothos. Feel free to add me on there. I run my own Fleet called "Spartan Fleet" under Survic@Krothos. My characters are:

    HOLODECK SHARD:

Vice Admiral Survic Stone, FED, Tac, "Spartan Fleet" as President. (All other Fleet Positions OPEN!)

Captain Krothos son of Toraq, FED, Tac, "7th. Fleet".

Captain Pek'ToS son of Toraq, KDF, Tac, "House of Martok".

Lieutenant Commander Drakon Mileek, FED, Eng, "Starfleet Criminal Investigation Service".

    TRIBBLE SHARD:

Lieutenant Commander James Hannibal Sheriden, FED, Tac, No Fleet.

Lieutenant Commander Matrix Soong, FED, Sci, "starfleet defense".

Lieutenant Commander Charles "Trip" Archer III, FED, Eng, No Fleet.

Lieutenant Commander Eric "Blade" Brooks, FED, Tac, No Fleet.

  3. One of my main question is what happened to the Maquis part of the crew? Were they welcomed by Starfleet with open arms? Were they put on trial for whatever USS Voyager was originally sent to get them for? What would they do with a Former Borg Drone like 7 of 9? Study her like a lab rat? Same question about the Doctor, a hologram become sentient.

  4. STAR TREK!

When I date girls, it doesn't take long before they discover I'm a Star Trek fan. It's almost one of the first things they learn about me. So they know a life with me would mean me watching Star Trek, going to conventions, doing things with the local Fan Club and occasionally dress-up. See, I let them know BEFORE the relationship gets too serious.

There are plenty of fish in the sea and some like Star Trek.

  5. It's not weird. My friend Carl has Autographs hanging all over his living room, not just Trek, it was all Sci-Fi's: Stargate, Babylon 5, Star Wars, Farscape, Lord of the Rings, etc. His wife was ok with it, though she's a trekkie too. He's the CO of the USS Ticonderoga Fan Club I'm in and his wife is the XO.

  6. The idea they survived the extinction event then built warp ships is just too fantastic for me to believe.

The only logical way I can see they escaped the EE on Earth is if Aliens rescued a few of them beforehand then replanted them somewhere else where they continued to evolve.

    Thoughts?

That's pretty much my theory as well. Maybe a species that has a propulsion systems a lot more advanced then Warp Drive. Maybe the same or similar people who took the ones Voyager found that was taken from Earth in the 1930's.

  7. Most would not have personally. Most people that came back would be their children and descendants. Kes would not have made it.

The main characters that had the best shot of actually making it 70 years for Voyager to come home are: Tuvok (and the other surviving Vulcans, if any), B'Elanna, Naomi Wildman and the Borg kids.

  8. They kinda had to, considering the fact that they were out of contact with Starfleet to know what the new uniforms looked like and even then had to conserve their power, ability to replicate for more important things then new uniforms for the whole crew. Like food, water, etc.

I too like the fact that they were just as on their own as the Enterprise NX-01 crew on most of that show.

But I loved their ending, them coming out of an exploding Borg Sphere was awesome. Wish they showed a bit more of what happened after they got home. We know Janeway became an Admiral, but that's about it.

  9. Just curious if anyone else is doing something like this. My local Fan Club the USS Ticonderoga is building up to the new Trek movie by watching all the previous ones, each one a month until the release of "Star Trek XI".

July 8, 2008: "Star Trek: The Motion Picture"

August 8, 2008: "Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan"

September 8, 2008: "Star Trek: Search for Spock"

October 8, 2008: "Star Trek: The Voyager Home"

November 8, 2008: "Star Trek: The Final Frontier"

December 8, 2008: "Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country"

January 8, 2009: "Star Trek: Generations"

February 8, 2009: "Star Trek: First Contact"

March 8, 2009: "Star Trek: Insurrection"

April 8, 2009: "Star Trek: Nemesis"

May 8, 2009: "Star Trek XI"

  10. I was surprised he regrew it by the time of Nemesis since his new wife didn't like it in Insurrection. I think the older shaved look in Insurrection worked for him, so by that point it didn't matter.

Are you talking about Frakes' wife? He's been married to Genie Francis (famous for playing Laura on General Hospital) since 1988.

I was referring to Deanna (Troi) Riker.

  11. 3rd Season - I loved the Hunt for the Xindi and the MACO's are awesome.

4th Season - Their Exploration missions are just getting good.

1st Season - Fun to see how they're experiences create some of the Standard procedures in the later Trek eras.

2nd Season - Not as memorable as the rest of the seasons.

  12. We all know it's definitely more then 140 as Kang, Kor and Koloth were all on TOS and DS9 which is more than 110 years apart. And assuming they were at least 30 or so when on TOS. I believe it is possible for them to live up to 200 years. Almost like a Vulcan, Sarek lived to be 203.

  13. I love "Soldiers of the Empire" and "You're Cordially Invited" (when Martok's singing). But I LOVE "By Inferno's Light" (?) when the Kem'Hadar warrior says, "Victory is life" and bloodied and battered Worf confidently replies with, "Today is a good day today." *shivers*

    It's:

    Jem'Hadar

    and

"Today is a good day to die!"
