  1. Well, IMHO, the two main reasons that novels are not considered canon are:  the "slash" authors..these novels feature a homosexual relationship between two main characters.  Kirk/Spock slash was everywhere during the "down" time between the cancellation of TOS and the release of TMP.  These novels were very graphic and, in my opinion, disgusting.  The second reason is the "Mary Sue" authors.  These authors were usually female and introduced themselves as a new character on the Enterprise.  The authors favorite established character (usually Kirk, Spock, Sulu, Checkov or Scotty) would of course fall madly in love with her and she would either (a) marry the man of her dreams and they live happily ever after or ( die a heroic or tragic death, leaving the man of her dreams hopelessly shattered and unable to love again.  These novels were so syrupy they left the reader diabetic and had established characters doing things they would NEVER do in the name of love.  Just my two cents folks!

Please explain to me what is with being homosexual have to do with weather or not books are not canon?

  2. Most novels have a stardate or log entry, go and find it in as many books as you have and post the name of the novel and stardate.

Please understand this is only an exercise I have come up with. This is also a project I have started and want to add these novels in them. I asked someone a few months ago, and I got nothing but sarastic comment about me and being them rude. If anyone is like that I will call security <_<

Please reframe from giving out any referance books or show stardates. Or books that are based upon an episode for example Encounter at Farpoint, Generations etc.

  3. In my expiriance in keeping track of all thing Trek is that the writers no longer have a template. They haven't had one since the 37'S in Voyager. Note that each episode was mostly always consitant up to that point. Also I feel people seem not to enjoy the show unless they find the mistakes, for example like in All Good Things, Picards command chair in the past wasn't stapled to the floor. If you look at the first season and Encounter at Farpoint, note the chair is infact connected to the small wall walkway where the horse shoe is in the middle. Same as Star Trek II, and Khans line.

  5. On behalf of the moderators and admins of StarTrekFans.net I have been asked to give a small tribue to our very own Ensign Cutler. I am writing a small tribute, and would ask any member of this site do the same here, just a few words.

We first meet a young beautiful young crew member in the fall of 2001. We first saw her in Strange New World. A young woman who pointed out where our home planet was from a distant planet. This woman would later be known as the wonderful and lovely Elizabeth Cutler, in the short time she has been known she has gained many fans not for her looks, her breast size (pardon the lauguage ladies) she was natral. In fact I heard she was due to reappears toward the end of this season. All I know she has now left us, a reminder of her appearance and her spirit will live on in the world of Star Trek. She will alway be remembered as Ensign Cutler.

May God Bless you and Thank You Kellie.

  6. 35-year old actress Kellie Waymire, best known to Star Trek fans as Elizabeth Cutler on Enterprise, passed away Thursday evening through causes that are as yet unknown.

Waymire first appeared in Star Trek: Voyager in the sixth-season episode "Muse", playing the role of Lanya. During Enterprise's first season, she had a recurring role as Crewman Elizabeth Cutler, the love interest of Dr. Phlox, appearing in episodes "Strange New World", "Dear Doctor" and "Two Days and Two Nights". Waymire told Cult Times that she enjoyed appearing on Enterprise, as she had childhood dreams of becoming an astronaut, and liked working with actor John Billingsley (Phlox).

Besides Enterprise, Waymire had a recurring guest role on Six Feet Under, playing Brenda's escort friend Melissa, and appeared on shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, NYPD Blue and Friends. She was a regular cast member of the short-lived shows Wolf Lake and The Pitts, the latter of which was cancelled by Fox earlier this year after only a few episodes.

Of late, Waymire had been performing in a production of the play 'Kate Crackernuts' by the 24th Street Theatre, playing the role of Anne. The play was scheduled to run through the end of this month, and the 24th Street Theatre has announced its final performances of the play will be dedicated to the memory of Waymire, with her part being taken over by Ryan Templeton. "Without her genius and professionalism, we never could have created this kooky world of 'Kate'," the cast and crew of the play posted on the 24th Street Theatre web site.

A public memorial for Waymire is being planned, but as yet no further details about this are known. Our thoughts are with Waymire's family and loved ones at this difficult time.

R.I.P Crewman you were very pretty.

  7. The native American were the first true Americans. The lived on the land drank from the river. In fact every country was actually connected to eachother. How they got there the walked arcoss. For thos who don't have a clue about the world. Here is a low down, I will use Europe main land compared to England and Ireland. The two country England and Ireland used to be connected and England used to be part of Holland. The American Indians were there for about eight hundred years, before Christopher clumbius even set sailed in search for for todays known as the Bahamas. Banana, learn history and love your country you have to fight for it one day. Peewee the Flinstone are not even real, what age are you? Did anyone here ever learn history of the thing you live on?

  8. No sorry. The reason Voyager lost all continunity and its original idea. The idea was to have a ship lost deep in unknown space, travelling home. The concept that the Voyager would have to keep going and to save food and engery and get fuel. They only did one for that whole journey, it was fuel. The used so much engery, got their ship captured about five times, used the repacator. Holodeck use seemed like it was okay to use engery you have to use to get home. It lost all that somewhere in the second season. It became more and more Borg by season five. Sorry but I am glad it is over and finished.

  9. It was called an anti time line. This is like a parraell future, Q knows the future so he may of changed it to make Picard think. I just recently watched it just last night, I noticed somwthing that they didn't do right in the past. In season one the command area didn't have the chairs stuck to the floor rather stuck to the horse shoe, drop down point. At first the side panels I thought were wrong I soon remembered I saw a version in Parreals.
