  1. Well, one one episode of Star trek:TNG they were having a sort of(I'll bet I get this wrong) hindu festival or something. And on an episode of the old un-official animated series, the Enterprise was having a Christmas party.I think most of the human characters don't really go around announcing their spiritual leanings(although it seems most fan writers try to write all of them as either atheists or skeptics),because they just,um,don't.

  2. I can't recall the episode name right now.But I remember this like it was last night.I was watching the Star Trek:TNG episode where the Sataraans confuse the crew of the Enterprise-D,and Ro and Riker had that little liason.Halfway through the episode I found out my dad had died of a heart attack while at a seniors function at a local club where older folks get together to hang out.To this day I cannot watch that show.Conundrum, that's it.I can't watch it at all.

  3. I would be surprised if the Starfleet did not require the cadets to maintain some level of physical fitness. It kind of goes hand-in-hand with the rigerous academic program. You know, sound body and strong mind.I know this isn't official, just my own personal little thing, but I write Star Trek fiction, and one of my short stories is all about a new cadet's first days at the Academy, and it includes a brief section on the basic physical training program he had to complete(and how difficult he found it).

  4. I'd love more gruesome scenes. How about a movie pitting Aliens (without Ellen Ripley) against the Star Trek:TNG or DS9 crews? Can you imagine Chief O'Brien crawling through access tunnels on DS9,phaser in hand, searching for Aliens?Or crewmembers aboard the Enterprise-E being hunted aboard their own ship?I'd love to see this film or read the book.

  5. Captain Christopher Pike.In my opinion Pike was the quintessential command officer.Approachable, but removed from his subordinates.Willing and able to make tough decisions, but mindful of the consequences.A brilliant military tactician and an experienced explorer/scientist.Pike had it all. It's too bad we only have the TOS episode "The Cage".I would've loved to see Pike(the healthy Pike) on more episodes. That's why I really love to find TOS novels featuring Pike's Enterprise and crew(like Vulcan's Glory).
