I really enjoy this show. Lots of good twists and potential for the both the new and "old" characters that are part of the main cast.

This is very sad to hear. She had awesome posts and thoughts regarding many things including Star Trek.

It sounds like over all Trek fans are enjoying the new series. Maybe I will break down next year and pay for it.

I am really looking forward to this ep tonight. This was a good idea by the writers to visit the mirror universe. It has such a cool factor since being introduced in the second season ep "Mirror, Mirror" on TOS. The cool part is that Lorca, Burnham and company are playing off their counterparts roles to survive there - at all costs. I also can't wait to see how "Captain Killy" portrays her alternate universe self. Good stuff. I wonder if there will be a big reveal in the form of the Terran Emperor. It seems that the writers on this show have been good at throwing us viewers surprises. The sky's the limit with this story arc.

Most of my Star Trek friends are watching this show. My wife and I specifically subscribed to All Access just for the show. I am not influenced by the opinions of others either. I enjoy the show and the many twists and turns that many of the other series seemed to lack. There is little predictability on this show. For example, who really saw Dr. Culber's murder at the hands of Ash Tyler coming? This is the kind of edgy trek needed to reinvigorate the franchise, in my honest opinion.

This episode also marked the last appearance of Lt. DeSalle in the series. Catspaw is one of the hidden gems of classic Trek's second season. What stood out for me was the balance of humor and creepiness imbued within this  journey (e.g. Spock's deadpan response to the witches dreadful song, "Very bad poetry Captain" to which Kirk replies " A more useful comment, Mr. Spock." The blend of these elements makes this an ep worth repeat viewings.
    Happy 50th to Catspaw!!!!

It looks promising based on the photos. The introduction of Lt. Ash Tyler in last week's ep was a good move. It came at a crucial time and is one of the better introductions of a major character on a Trek series in a long time. Ash has been through a lot and he seems to mesh well with Captain Lorca who also has been through a lot during his service to Starfleet. Looking forward to this new ep.

I like what i have seen of the series so far and am looking forward to more eps as it continues to find its legs, although it seems to be leaning heavily towards a covert operations (need I say Section 31?) subplot already. I am stoked that there is new Star Trek available, but wish there were more episodes to look forward to.
Only fifteen episodes with a two month hiatus after a mere nine episodes into the series? I am kind of disappointed in that. Especially considering I am paying for CBS All Access to view this show (most of the other programs I would watch are already available on Netflix). I was really hoping for a 25+ episode season much like other series have given us in years past. Still, I am glad there is Star Trek rather than no Trek at all.
I just hope CBS produces more eps when they rollout season 2.

Artwork looks nice. Many of the non-TNG posters looked awesome as well.
I hate to be the one to state it, but the TNG crew poster should have included Wesley Crusher. He was based on Gene Wesley Roddenberry as a young man and Wesley Crusher played a significant role in many memorable TNG eps such as "The First Duty" and one of my personal faves, "Journey's End".

I like the intro. It has a retro cool feel to it with a definite sense of well, for lack of a better word "discovery".
