  1. I voted for Firefly. I'm surprised it doesn't have more votes! Joss Whedon did an incredible job with that show. The cast was amazing, the individual and overall plots were quite good, the writing was witty... And the whole "space Western" concept? I love it. This is probably my favourite show after Star Trek. Brilliantly conceived and with some of the best lines ever. Yes, I am a devout Firefly fan, and I am desperately sad that it was cancelled so ruthlessly.

  2. So, essentially, it was felt by those who voted that "Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy" was the best episode of Voyager? Wow. What a wrong opinion. HA! Just kidding. :welcome: But I definitely don't agree with that selection. It was a good episode, but...the best of Voyager? I think not!

  3. I remember Kevin Newman who did a short stint as host of Good Morning America was a trekkie (I don't know what happened to him - I think he has gone back to Canada)

LOL!!! Thank you for that. :welcome:

No one has mentioned Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. he and his whole family were big Star Trek fans, As a matter of fact its because of Dr. King that Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) stayed on the show!

Yes, someone did mention that before, but not in as much detail. That's awesome!!! :klingon:

  4. You know, as much as I loved Kes (probably the most balanced individual ever), the series really got better when Seven sort of "replaced" her. The whole Seven/Borg element was just an awesome addition to the show in countless ways: by opening up new Borg-related plot possibilities, by bringing in a talented actress, by changing the dynamic between crew members, by allowing for even more exploration of what it means to be human than was already present with the Doctor, etc. In short, the series only got better as it went along--in my opinion--and the improvement really accelerated when Seven appeared on the scene.

  5. You know, I hated Year of Hell--but not because it wasn't "good." I think it was mainly because I'm used to seeing the crew of Voyager so competent and in control. In this one, they weren't. Which makes it extremely good from the point of view of character development and plot diversity. And yet I am dreading getting to that point in the series again. It was...traumatizing for me, emotionally. (Perhaps that's rather silly, but it's the case, so there you have it! That's what I think.) :welcome:
