  1. hi there...

here's my review of SW3: ROS. save your money. it was wack! there's lots of great effects...but it's also full of bad writing, bad acting and no story. it's silly and not worth waiting in line. so wait a week or two. you're not missing anything.

but if you're a big fan (as i am of eps 4, 5, 6), it's worth seeing just to say you've seen it. but i was really disappointed. at least it's over and george lucas can't torture us with more crap...

i was once again reminded why i love trek so much more.

  2. i've looooved the show from the first eps. but the finale was a travesty...the story was strong and the actors great. why did we need riker and troi. they ruined it.

i can't believe they had the balls to insult the cast and crew of ST:ENT this way. archer could have said the whole thing on his own...

    blalock was right...appalling!

  3. it's insulting to think that either frakes or sirtis need to be there. :P

would anyone have thought it a good idea to have nichols, takei or koenig on the finale of TNG? no....why, it undermines the work of the cast and crew. period!

it's rediculous...they should have let the crew fly off into the sunset like kirk and company in ST VI:UC.

i only hope blalock is wrong and that it isn't as appauling as it seems.

regardless...i will always consider this to one of the best ST shows...i've loved it and had a great four years with the crew. i wish them all the best.

    ;)

  4. where do you find these things? i always wonder where they come from...especially before and eps is aired...

but i'm so excitedto see this eps. and sooooooooooo pissed that ENT was cancelled. and if they

mess up the finale with a holodeck sim erasing the last four years....

well, i'm buddhist so i can't really do what i'm thinking.

  5. i'm thinking 23rd century...i want to try to come up with something more original. 24th century stuff is pretty locked into the two tone jumpsuit thing. not much fun there...

and i like the idea of mixing starfleet with vulcan as they did with t/pol's new uniforms...but more field worthy.

  6. i want to develop a RPG character a bit further...and this is not an RPG question...i'm just giving background. i want to create a look for the character, a vulcan.

he serves as a xenoanthropolgist within starfleet. if you had to describe the field uniform for someone working in the field, digging up stuff from extinct species, villages, ruins, etc....what would it look like?

i have some ideas, but want some that aren't influenced by my description. when i get them, i will incorporate them and post some rendering to get feedback.

so i welcome any ideas for patches, gear, jacket, goggles, footwear, tools, etc. send them my way. thanks.

  7. actually, there many occasions where humans in one area select a name for there group that focuses on activity X and another group somewhere else has the same name for something entirely different.

ACS in buffalo means AIDS Community Services

ACS in NYC means administration for child services

so why couldn't two separate species have selected a similar name? or perhaps the universal translator selected that english word because it was the only one even remotely close to the meaning...or it was simply confused.

but...the episode was amazing. 9.5 all the way. and the hoshi backstory was perfect. it explains a lot of here hesitation with some of the starfleet regulations, contraptions and lack of field experience.

i hope they keep it up...great episode and season...

  8. Greetings...

For the life of me I cannot find any that look like the ones used on the shows. Either they are too dull or too shiny. Does anyone know where to get one that is the same "shine" as the series?

And while we're on it, where can I get a sound board that actually sounds like the series? I got one through the mail and it sounds ridiculous.

Thanks in advance for the help.

  9. was blown away...best yet. loved every minute of it. and soval is rocking in his new found allegiance with humans.

and loved the bush commentary. this is why i've always loved trek...just like TOS. making a point and allowing the audience to take it from there...

keep it up ENT....loving it since the first with no end in sight.

  10. if you check out the section at startrek.com about aliens, they talks about the physical differences of the alien species on ST. they mention the double eyelid...the heart...etc. it was nice to see this in an episode.

did they not mention this before in TOS or other series? any info...

    thanks...chimei :frusty:

  11. Greetings all...

Trying to put together the Starfleet uniform (ST: 2-6) and can't find anyone who has the belt buckle. Does anyone know a supplier that carries them? Couldn't get to any conventions (where I know they have them) and am desparate.

Any help would be appreciated. Live long and prosper.

  12. greetings...

i was looking at all these great CGI mock-ups of ships in the "akiraprise" debate and was wondering how people make all these great pics. i mean, it there a particular program or site i can get or go to if i want to design my own ship/runabout? please let me know...thanks.

  13. greetings...

i'm trying to find some federation screen displays. i want to make a screen saver that rotates pics of computer panels from TNG, VOY or ENT. i had a link before...but lost it. any link ideas would be sooooo appreciated. thanks in advance.

  14. actually, all of the interviews with bakula have included his advocacy for a 22 eps season. he's been gunning for that since he took on the role. TPTB finally gave in and gave them the time to make 22 great eps instead of straining to get the 26 they've been making for three years.

the cast and crew deserve breaks and the writing staff needs the time to fully develop stories. i'm totally ok with it.

good luck to all involved...enjoy your summer off.

  15. i have to say that the appearance of the Andorians was a great treat. i successfully avoided all hints and spoilers to this eps and it paid off. it was great...

    Click for Spoiler:

not sure what i think of the WWII thing...but it could be daniel's only way of getting archer off the weapon in time.

whatever the explanation, i can't wait to see the season 4 (thank gods) opening. here's to getting through the summer on reruns.

    <_<

  16. It's funny. I voted in the poll and said that I didn't think it was time to have the men with the triangle sideburns (though I like the Trek-burns).

I was thinking about it and it seemed to me a better solution to have the MACO's begin wearing them. then the rest of the crew could remain as is. This could switch over as the two merge and Starfleet adopts it as a standard along with whatever variation on the uniform they choose to go with.

They might also wait until the Federation becomes more of a possibility. I think that seasons 6-7 will have some development of the Federation, if only as a proposal among Vulcans, Humans and Andorians. Afterall, it didn't just appear. It had to be planned out.

    :dude:

  17. given that the other vulcans had been driven mad by trillium-d, it makes sense that this is a possible reason for her emotional outbursts. how is it getting into her blood? who said it had to enter her blood stream? perhaps it works like radiation...or like lead paint...soaked in through skin.

i'm actually more interested in the development of P'Nar syndrome. JMHO...

    :garak:

  18. Not a bad idea actually. I'd also like to see a rotating cast. I love the cast as they are, but really enjoy the opportunities each series has had to show "the rest of the crew".

I think it could work in a sort of HBO's "Oz" where characters are in story lines for a couple of weeks and then fade into the background when their storyline ends or die, etc. It has the feel of a complete crew and makes the stories more interesting.

It might be an interesting time to switch major crew members (as in switching Kes with Seven of Nine). Some could choose to return to earth after defeating the Xindi (though i think they'll have a peaceful resolution - that being a reasonable explanation as to why TOS, TNG, DS9 and VOY never mentioning the Xindi) so as to help start laying the groundwork for the Federation.

Just a thought. But I'm excited about the possibilities.

  19. I, too, love the road they are taking with T'Pol. I attribute it to 1) the confined quarters with humans, 2) her willingness to explore herself, 3) the effects of P'nar Syndrome and 4) the reality that Vulcans have emotions.

The last is the one that seems most difficult to accept, but not every Vulcan can be or is a monk, diplomat or conservative. The race is as diverse as any other we've come to know and love in the ST universe.

As I've heard said, Sarek is fully Vulcan. He fell in love with human women. There is no logical reason to do so. Therefore, the only reasonable argument for this is that he was emotionally drawn to them.

This is only one example...but I think it applies to the point.

I just hope they keep it up...and do more of this type of development with the others (namely Hoshi and Mayweather). Just MHO...

    :dude:

  20. i loved this episode. i thought it was well written, timely and incredibly well performed. the featured actors did a great job. i would like to have seen more from the two that weren't sure of the way the whole plan was going. they were interesting.

my only point of...questioning...would be why they didn't have something for hoshi to do. she just disappeared.

but other than that...the whole thing was great.

    :waaaa:

  21. I believe she looks better than ever. The uniform is beautifully designed and appropriate for working in space. Unlike the catsuit worn by Seven, T'Pol's looks like clothing...which is perfect for the character.

And why is it that people seem to thik that it's wierd for a Vulcan to be sexy? They aren't all monks and ambassadors.

My personal favorite is the white "away" uniform...followed by the blue and silver, then the salmon and finally the purple.

  22. Greetings...

In addition to the things mention in Bauer's "Did you notice" postings...I would like to add this:

In "Rajiin", it seems that the reptilian Xindi soldiers were wearing the Reman uniforms from ST:Nemesis. Much of it is hidden by the wire shoulder pads, if you look at them, it is clear that they have the metallic purple (oil slick) armor and the purple spandex material.

Just thought I'd throw that out there...Oh, and "Impulse" was awesome!

    Until next time.

    Chimei :P

  23. Greetings...

Was watching the rerun of ST:ENT and noticed that Trip has been doing some shaving. In the opening scene between him and T'Pol, it's quite clear that he has shaved his chest since he disrobed for T'Pol the first time.

Now this might be subtle, and it may be a habit of Connor T...but it certainly is sexy. Any thoughts?

    :look:

  24. greetings all...

it's great to be back here after a little absence...

let's see....i'd have to say that my favorites (in no particular order) are as follows:

    - stigma

    - fallen hero

    - carbon creek

    - singularity

    - cease fire

    that's my two cents worth...
