I Love TOS. Watched as a Kid back in the Late 80s
Can't beat the Campiness
-
Was there a Book or anything that was set between "All Good Things..." and "Gerarations" about those 2?
-
I'm gonna be 23 in July, but I've been a Star Trek Fan since I was...ermm....5...6??...maybe 7...I dunno...one of 'em.

I loved Garak....and...I'm not sure what else to say that hasn't already been said
How come he wasnt killed sooner
Sooner than what??? He was never Killed in the show
I love how he joined the Starfleet Crew on the Defiant when they abandoned the Station in "A Call To Arms"...didn't wanna stay to meet Dukat B)

Picard....You do that Nicholas Meyer, the Director Of Star Trek II & VI, knew nothing about Star Trek
-
Torres crash landed, and a primitive race doing plays about Voyager was on.Oh God, I remember that one....Entertaining....But Not my favorite episode...
-
I disliked her to the point that I wouldn't watch the shows she was in if I wasn't such a DS9 fan. Even now, I rarely watch her episodes. It's nice to have the choice to do that too. I just need another new hard drive now so I can fit the rest of my Voyager and TOS on too. Then I guess you didn't bother with the 10 Part Ending Arc
-
Yeah...that's why she's always so calm about things, lol

Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia Peach!Spreading the word of Trek to my Red-neck friends.

Here's the scene I was Talking about
It's Straight From The Script, so there may be minnor Differences
PICARD
Data, what you have done has very
serious ramifications and I am
dismayed that you did not inform
anyone of what you were doing.
DATA
I am sorry I did not anticipate
your objections, Captain. Do you
wish me to deactivate Lal?
PICARD
It is a life, Data. It cannot
be activated or de-activated
simply. It is a stupendous
undertaking. Have you any idea
what will happen when Starfleet
learns of this?
DATA
I have followed all Starfleet
regulations to the best of my
ability, Captain... I expected
they would be pleased...
PICARD
We'll see.
(beat)
My foremost concern is for the
safety of this ship and crew.
You are faster, stronger, and far
more knowledgeable than any
human...
DATA
I can assure you Lal's programming
includes psychological inhibitor
safeguards to prevent any threat
to the Enterprise.
PICARD
And in the event of a malfunction?
DATA
A malfunction is of course a
possibility, Captain. But Lal's
program is equipped like mine --
it will shut down before
deleterious behavior can begin.
Picard shakes his head, still fuming...
PICARD
You've taken on quite a
responsibility, Mister Data...
DATA
(acknowledges)
To prepare, I have scanned all
the available literature on
parenting. There seems to be much
confusion on the issue. One
traditional doctrine insists
"spare the rod and spoil the
child", suggesting a punitive
approach... another more liberal
attitude would allow a child
enormous freedom...
PICARD
(trying to interrupt)
Data...
DATA
And what the Klingons do to their
children...
PICARD
(interrupting)
I'm not talking about parenting.
(beat)
I'm talking about the
extraordinary consequences of
creating new life.
DATA
(confused)
Does that not describe becoming
a parent, sir?
Not wanting to get into this --
PICARD
You are seeking to achieve what
no one, other than your own
creator, has been able to achieve
-- to make another sentient,
functional android. To make
another Data.
DATA
That is why I must attempt this,
Captain. I have observed that
in most species, there is a primal
instinct to perpetuate themselves.
And while I have not been
programmed with instinctive
behavior patterns, I do understand
that I have been, until now, the
last of my kind. If I were damaged
or destroyed, I would be lost
forever. But if I am successful
with the creation of Lal, my
continuance is assured. I believe
I understand the consequences. And
I am prepared to accept the
responsibility.
On Picard's reaction...

I felt more for the destruction of the original Defiant than Jadzia's deathMe too.....*sniff*

Ok...I found this Stargate Cartoon on Fox. 30 Minute show. Looks like the SGC in the Future. anyone else seen it?
-
Anybody else got these Books??
It's 4 of them.
2 TNGs and 2 DS9s
TNG Books are a Made Up Story and may I say...very well done...has a nice twist in the end
The DS9 Books are Based on The end of "A Call To Arms"-"The Sacrifice Of Angels"
If ya don't have these books..get em ...if ya liked The Dominion War on DS9 that is :)
-
I don't know about "Mirror Borg" but the idea of using the Mirror universe for the next movie is pretty interesting. And hey Data could still be alive!Would B4, Lore, and Data even exist in the Mirror Universe??
And I think the Borg would be the same No matter what universe they're in
-
What a Burden huh??
She kinda hints at "Time's Arrow, Part II" in The 3rd Season show "Booby Trap"
"A bald man took care of me once..when I was hurting."
-
Eh..I Voted for E, I got a thing for Warships
-
While watching "Time's Arrow" the other day, I had a realization...
Back in "Best Of Both Worlds", she knew they'd get Picard back because he had not yet gone back in time to the 19th Century where he took care of her when she got hurt.
So she knew that they'd all survive everything atleast up to the point where they go back to the 24th Century.
Just thought I'd share that I didn't even realise this til now
