  1. As sad as I was that Data died, I felt a huge amount of respect, honor, and even happiness for his character.  His death was the final, determining step in his quest for humanity.  In a single act of courage and honor, he captured that which defines humanity more than anything - mortality.

Yes, it was great act of courage and honor. It was how he died that bothers me. There was where different ways that they could have stop the ship. I think there was a third Romulan ship and they got him.

  2. I have volunteered to be the guinea pig who finds out if 30 Datas in one room is too much!  Don't worry about me. I have surrounded myself with experts to ensure no harm comes my way. There are plenty of safeguards in place.

    Now, wish me luck!! Hugesmile.gif

BTW, if I don't report back in three days, send Lessa Soong in to find me.

Lessa, who came to look for me or so she claims but I know the real reason Whistle.gif, and I are making progress. Clever.gif

The biggest problem we have had is lack of sleep. Drooling.gif It's non-stop action here but we are dedicated to this research and won't return until we are completely satisfied with the results of our investigation. Nudge%20Nudge.gif

What kind of research are you...

    ....

    !!!!

    Oh!

I'll leave you guys to your privacy...

Remember that you are human and need some sleep from time to time!

  3. I was watching TNG's first episode a few days ago and have just realised something which has made me think.

When Riker goes into the holodeck and finds data wesley follows and falls into the river however when they leave the holodeck he is still wet from falling in however the water was holographic so when he left the holodeck the water should of disappeared but didn't.

Anyone have an explanation for this?

Good question. I would think since Wesley's clothes weren't holograghic when they got wet they would be still wet when he left the holodeck.

  4. I can't really add anything to this since I don't believe Data is dead. No body/parts found - no dead. That's the general rule for Hollywood, I believe.

Lessa and I wrote a story that had Q saving Data. I know other scenarios have been talked about as well.

    Data lives :frusty:

I am glad that some people believe that Data is not died. <_<

  5. Oh I didn't think to include pictures saved om the computer. I have a few hundred of those. And sound files.  <_<

    computer time = fantasy time

I don't think I can count how many pictures and sound files I have, although it's not as big as RC's collection.

I've got a collection of a lot of different TNG crew members in case I need a quick pic for a doctored picture request. I do have some of my photos sorted. I have a Data folder, Lore folder, Dr. Soong folder, Brent Spiner folder, STF folder, etc.

Other than many books (like the encyclopedia) and my life size cut out of Data I don't have a lot of collectibles. Of course there is Lessa and I's (shameless plug warning) DataLoreFiction website too.

My friends have been trying to convince me to get a large cutout thingie of Data for the longest time. But I haven't so far because I don't have the room. In regards to the rest of the Data stuff, the way I have it set up is for shock value. See, you don't notice the figures right away until you see one on the kitchen counter or somehwere..and then you take a closer look around and find that there's a few on the bookshelves...one peering at you from on the TV in the living room...one near the microwave...a couple in the bathroom.

*giggles* I've put them everywhere, and it's a slightly unnerving feeling as one realizes that. Thus I work is done..:look:

The Data ones have been discontinued so if you can find one, grab it!! Here's a link to the place I got mine from. It's located in BC.

    Carboard Cutouts

I was very pleased with the service I got. I received my order quickly.

Thanks, I have to check this site out! :frusty:

I think takara would want to visit, often. Could you imagine a whole crew of Datas? Nobody would EVER win an argument. Everybody is awake 24 hours a day. Nobody eats. I mean, how dull can life be Takara? Work, work, work, all day everyday. I'm sure some funny situations could arise.

Data would no longer be unique. That would be very sad for him.

Each and every Data would be unique due to their expenses. There would not be "work, work, work, all day everyday." Data does play his violin, paint, and use the holodeck. :frusty: The pokers games would very interesting to watch or play! <_<

Each Data would be different from the other through different expenses. Even Data doesn't work all the time. He use the plays his volin, paints, and uses the holodeck . Data may not be unique, but he wouldn't be lonely anymore. Look how he reacted when they found Lore part on his home planet. :look:

  8. I have been thinking about Data's death for a long time. It is believed by the all knowing that his death was a noble. For me it was not. Picard let his ego get in the way and the need to proven himself that he is not Shizzron. I think that is how you spell his name. Plus Data would have been a live if Picard obeyed the regulations and stayed on board the ship. :wow:
