  1. Hello everyone! I got permission from "the elders" to make this thread and I hope that it turns out good. This thread will be used for nominations for best Avatar on this site, the rules are as follows:

    1. You may nominate anyone, including yourself. However, you may only nominate ONE person, and each nominee can only be nominated once.

    2. If a nominee does not want to be in the final vote, they must PM me and let me know.

    3. I will take, at max, fifty nominees. If the count goes over fifty, I'll have to just take the first fifty.

    4. Nominations will go until about 12:00 noon EST on Thursday the 8th, and then the actual voting will take place from then until about 12:00 noon EST on Friday the 9th.

Alterego has told me that the winner will get a special badge somewhere in their posting info. Let the nominations begin, and have fun!

  2. I can have quite a temper so I am one who has to have an outlet. Usually I turn on some loud music and work out. Exercise always helps. If I really feel like I'm going to lose it I'll scream into a pillow and then usually throw it and anything else soft. Don't get that mad very often though.

Wow, you use all my techniques! I also like to exercise and scream into pillows. The quote in my signature also talks about a helpful tactic :)

I often crank up the distortion and volume on my amp and chug out some heavy riffs until I'm all sweaty and tired.

  3. Those are all good, Indy. I also liked: "For the World is Hollow, and I Have Touched the Sky" and "The Tholian Web".

The former I recently saw for the first time and it was one of the most emotional episodes of TOS i'd ever seen.

  4. I respect your thoughts, though, because I can see that you think before you post and have strong opinions, which is a marvelous thing when you read some of the other things people post in this forum

You believe in creation. I believe in evolution. Both are possible, and neither can be proven. Just argued endlessly. So, I respect your belief as well.

I myself do not disclude "creation", but I do think that if creation did take place then that creation involved the creation of the processes that would assist life (ie: evolution) Again, that is a theory as is everything else when it comes to the questions of life.

It's been fun debating with ya!

We should get an award for the cleanest, and most mature debate :)

  5. I work about 25 hours a week at Best Buy and I am taking 16 credits worth of classes at college. I am trying to get my old job at the Radiology Office back, then I can start enjoying weekends

I've been there, I took 18 credits of classes and worked fulltime. That doesn't include homework. Hope your endurance holds out I know what a drain it can be. Good Luck.

Dang, 18 credits and full-time? I know few people who can do that much, crazy. I respect you for making it though, I'm sure the hard work has paid off as I hope it will with me

  6. I can see your point, still, the whole process is very theoretical, just like creation is (argruably) theoretical. You can choose to believe the current order of the universe was created, or it just happend by accident, I've chosen to believe in the former which has always been more believable for me.
