Episode Name: Sarek
Original Air Date: 05.14.90
Ambassador Sarek comes aboard the Enterprise for one last mission - the establishment of relations with a species called the Legaran. As soon as he arrives, havoc ensues among the crew. When Picard learns that the reason for the crew's behaviour is linked to Sarek having Bendii Syndrome, a rare neurological condition that causes the loss of emotional control in Vulcans, he must find a way to help the Vulcan dignitary or cancel the conference. When Sarek pleads for the continuation of the conference, Picard agrees to a mindmeld which will allow Sarek to channel his emotions to Picard so he can maintain control.

Episode Name: Captain's Holiday
Original Air Date: 04.02.90
Picard is persuaded to take a vacation on Risa after a very draining session of negotiations. He gets more than he bargained for when he meets Vash, a less than ethical archeologist. Vash is trying to get away from her Ferengi partner so she can find an object called the Tox Uthat. She is not the only one looking for it as two Vorgons who have traveled back from the 27th century also want it.
Jennifer Hetrick portrayed Vash in two episodes (Captain's Holiday and Qpid) and later reprised the role in Deep Space Nine's Q-Less.
If you read the credits and noticed the name Michael Grodenchik (Sovak) and wondered if he was related to Deep Space Nine's Max Grodenchik (Rom), the answer is no. They aren't related because they are the same person. As Max Grodenchik, he also appeared in the episode The Perfect Mate playing Par Lenor as well as playing an alien ensign in a deleted scene from Star Trek: Insurrection.
Deirdre Imershein (Joval) also appeared in the Deep Space Nine episode Trials and Tribble-ations as Lt. Watley.

Series: Star Trek: The Next Generation
Season: 3
Episode #: 17
Production #: 165
Episode Name: Sins of the Father
Original Air Date: 03.19.90
This episode was a sequel to season 2's A Matter of Honor in which Riker participated in an officer exchange with a Klingon ship. This time it is Klingon officer, Kurn, who has come aboard the Enterprise. After inciting Worf to see if he truly is Klingon, Kurn reveals that he is Worf's younger brother. He was a baby when he had been left on Qo'noS while Worf and his parents were on Khitomer. Kurn tells Worf of the High Council's plan to name their father, Mogh, as the person who betrayed the Outpost to the Romulans. He urges Worf to challenge the accusations being made by Duras and the High Council and defend the family honour.
This episode marked the first appearance of Tony Todd as Kurn. He reprised the role in three more episodes - Redemption, Parts I and II and Deep Space Nine's The Sons of Mogh. He also played the adult Jake Sisko in the Deep Space Nine episode The Visitor as well as an Alpha Hirogen in Voyager's The Prey.
This was the first of two appearances by Charles Cooper as K'mpec, the other episode being Reunion. He also portrayed General Korrd in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
Patrick Massett reprised the role of Duras in the episode Reunion. This episode marked the introduction of the House of Duras.

The Enterprise discovers a rift in space and what appears to be a ship emerging from it. The crew are shocked when the ship turns out to be the Enterprise C which was believed to have been destroyed in battle 22 years earlier. With the arrival of the Enterprise C, the time line is altered and the Federation is in the midst of a long war with the Klingon Empire. Guinan, knowing something is wrong with the time line, tells Picard that the Enterprise C must go back, even if it means the ship and crew will be lost. Picard must decide whether to trust Guinan's intuition and have the Enterprise C return to its time and hopefully stop the war before it began.
Denise Crosby reprised her role as Tasha Yar in the alternate time line and lead the way for her return in Redemption, Part I in a surprising way.

Riker and Worf find a badly injured Romulan on the surface and beam back with him to the Enterprise. Geordi, having fallen down a pit, is unable to reach the rendezvous coordinates at the designated time and is left on the planet.
As the Enterprise waits for a break in the storms to rescue Geordi, Dr. Crusher begins treatment of the injured Romulan. Crusher discovers Worf is the only compatible donor for a ribosome transfusion the Romulan needs to survive and is shocked when Worf refuses to help.
Meanwhile on the planet, Geordi is ambushed by a second Romulan. They soon discover if they don't work together, they will die.
