Very good episode, spoiled only at the end by the appearance of the dumb Cytherian who totally ruined the tone of the episode. But I can forgive this little blunder and say that I like this episode, due mostly to it being completely carried by Dwight Schultz who was superb in this episode as Barclay.

5. The Cytherians might seem a disappointment, but really, all that intelligence, especially when you can tell it's not going to last, has to have some end to it. That probe was created by someone, right? So, it stands to reason that it's going to result in meeting either the aliens, or the remains of their civilization. And of course, big props to Schultz.
