Done what road is Earth going?

I'm not talking about how we will end up necessarily, but what path are we on now.

Short term I'd say the Ferengi (the line between government and business has blurred to the point of none existents), long term I'd say it's a toss up between the Federation and Borg ( before anyone thinks I'm over reacting,think of how many times in a week your activities are effected/dictated by technology,cell phones, computers,etc. )

I picked something worse. I think we are head into a mixture of the Borg Collective mentallity and the Ferengii mentality. Life itself seems to have a price tag and free speech and thought may be under attack.

-Bajor: The government flees, leaving the people nowhere to look.

-Earth: The Eugenics movement throws the planet into turmoil.

Humans now are so close to the Ferengi its scary...most people and governments are out for themselves only...survival of the fittest, richest, and most ruthless.
