Indy 8 Posted January 27, 2004 Click for Spoiler: I saw this on the Today show last week. It's name is QRIO and is made by Sony as a next step in their robotics development. They showed two of the units dancing in tandem and demonstrated how it could pick itself up when knocked over. When it fell, it actually put it's arms out in front to catch itself. Quite impressive technology. It has voice and sight recognition and is a web interface, you can ask it questions and it will do a google search and give you an answer. It doesn't have Data's leg length of 87.2 cm, being just under two feet and is not available to the public as they are very expensive at this point.
