VaBeachGuy 12 Posted November 20, 2003 WEST MILTON - An actress who "always considered West Milton home," died last week at her residence in Venice, Calif.., of natural causes. Kellie Waymire, 36, a native of Columbus who lived in several places through childhood including West Milton, performed in a number of stage productions and guest starred in numerous television shows during her career in show business. The 1990 Southern Methodist University graduate earned a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of California, San Diego in 1993. A prolific character actress, Miss Waymire began her career in 1994, playing Emily on ABC's "One Life to Live." She became a regular television guest star in David E. Kelley productions, including "Ally McBeal," "The Practice" and "Snoops." She appeared on "CSI: Crime Scene Investiga-tion," "The X-Files" and in the 1997 "Seinfeld" episode titled "The Blood." She spent six episodes on HBO's "Six Feet Under" playing Brenda's (Rachel Griffiths) prostitute friend Melissa. Earlier this year, she played Colleen in an episode of "Friends" titled "The One Where Ross is Fine." Star Trek fans may know her as Elizabeth Cutler, a recurring role on "Star Trek: Enterprise" series. Most recently, she guest starred in "Everwood" and "Wonderfalls." Her theatre experience also was extensive with repertory theatre appearances around the country. She was most recently involved in the 24th Street Theatre in Los Angeles. The theatre company's production of "Kate Crackernuts" was entering its final weekend this weekend and the cast posted the following dedication on its Web site: "We dedicate this production of 'Kate Crackernuts' to Kellie Waymire, for without her genius and professionalism, we never could have created this kooky world of 'Kate.' In the spirit and tradition of theatre, the show must go on and we know that Kellie will be with us tonight and every night." Survivors for Miss Waymire include her father, West Milton native Jack Waymire. Services are being handled through Hale-Sarver Funeral Home. Klingonmike 0 Posted November 25, 2003 That was sad to hear about Kellie Waymire.I had always hoped they would bring her back for a couple of episodes of Enterprise. My condolances to her family and fellow fans who thought Cutler was a great character in the Star Trek universe.
