Recommended Posts

For those who didn’t get the chance to see Star Trek: The Exhibition while it was at Kennedy Space Center this summer, there is still time to do so.

Kennedy Space Center announced that Star Trek: The Exhibition, originally slated to end on September 5, has been extended and will now run through the end of October.

According to Kennedy Space Center, “In honor of the 45th anniversary of the first airing of the TV series, The Exhibition has been extended through October 31, 2011.”

In addition, Star Trek XI has also returned to Kennedy Space Center, where it can be seen at the IMAX theater. Tickets for Star Trek XI are $8.00.

The Exhibition features various costumes worn on the shows or in the movies; authentic or replica props, including Federation, Klingon and other weapons; communicators; maps; ship models; Data’s head; and a Borg in a regenerative chamber.

The highlights of Star Trek: The Exhibition include a replica original series bridge and a “Guardian of Forever” set based on The City on the Edge of Forever original series episode.

In addition to Star Trek: The Exhibition, Star Trek Live, an interactive show, and the Star Trek Shuttlecraft Simulation will also run through the end of the month.
