Quinto Reacts To Margin Call Deal

Recommended Posts

For Zachary Quinto, Star Trek XI‘s Spock, good news about his latest project, Margin Call, came as a relief.

Margin Call, which premiered this week at the Sundance 2011 film festival, is the story of a twenty-four-hour period during the early stages of the 2008 financial crisis, where “key people at an investment bank struggle to decide how to handle an emergency business situation while examining the personal and moral implications of every action they take.”

I’ve been in New York doing a play and … I was literally in my dressing room getting updates from people and going, ‘Why am I not there with you?’ I don’t think any of us could have predicted (how it sold).”

Margin Call sold to Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate, with rumor of a “low-seven figure range.”  The movie stars Quinto, Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons, Penn Badgley, Simon Baker, Mary McDonnell and Stanley Tucci.
