Pegg was offered the role of Lt. Archie Hicox in Quentin Tarantino‘s Inglourious Basterds as well as a role as Inspector Thompson in Steven Spielberg‘s The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn. “It was a horrible decision to make,” said Pegg. “I remember sitting on my own in a hotel room for an hour, having to decide which one to do. It was agony.” Pegg chose the Spielberg film, which will release next year. In The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, Tintin and his friends set off to find a treasure left behind by Tintin’s ancestor Sir Francis Haddock.
