Loved his comment about needing to "check with the rest of the Supreme Court" (meaning fans) on whether the comic prequel Countdown is canon or not. Now he is starting to understand what they got them selves into. :) The Supreme Court actually refers to Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, J.J. Abrams, Damon Lindelof, and Bryan Burk. Those five (who range from strong Trekkies Orci and Lindelof to complete novice Burk) who made decisions regarding the content of the new movie in terms of how strictly to follow canon in various situations.
