Traditionally when someone is “recurring” in a TV show it usually means that they are a recurring guest. I can see that it could be argued that a regular would be included, but traditionally it usually is not. I actually got the idea of this question from a specific resource which also used the term “recurring” for regular guests.

 

However, I can see and understand that someone might have said Jadzia Dax. And even I now don’t like that I used “recurring” where I should have added “recurring guest.”

 

I’m going to give everyone a second shot at this - a clean slate.

I'm not accepting Jennifer Sisko because the "recurring" Jennifer was the mirror Jennifer. I don't compute them as the same person. Just like I don't compute a regular DS9 character and his or her mirror character as the same person.
