VaBeachGuy 12 Posted September 12, 2003 Here are 4 Johnny Cash songs. You may need to click the play button several times in a row until the song is loaded to play. Just keep clicking it till the play button lights up. http://www.startrekfans.net/music/cash.swf
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted September 12, 2003 :( Great choices :( Those really helped me mourn the passing of legend that was a Hugh part of my childhood musical memories, thank you!
VaBeachGuy 12 Posted September 12, 2003 I always loved those songs. I especially liked "One Piece At A Time" and "A Boy Named Sue". Johnny was a true classic! Now Jerry Lee Lewis is all that remains of the Million Dollar Quartet.
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted September 12, 2003 Jerry Lee Lewis Wouldn't it be great if he and Ray Charles got together and did a duet before it was "too late"
VaBeachGuy 12 Posted September 12, 2003 That would be cool. Was Ray Charles on Sun Records? I don't think so but I could be wrong.
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted September 12, 2003 I'm not sure about that but you're right, I hadn't thought of how different labels could complicate the matter. Stupid companys.
VaBeachGuy 12 Posted September 12, 2003 I don't think it would be too big a deal for them to do it, I was just wondering though if Ray had started at Sun like so many other greats had. Think about the music that came out of Sun Studios in Memphis. Elvis Jerry Lee Johnny Cash Carl Perkins Roy Orbison B.B. King Just to name a few. After typing this I went to Yahoo and found this about Sun Records if anyone is interested in music history: http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/Music/07/3...cording.studio/
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted September 12, 2003 I see now, sorry for my incorrect assumption. Wow those were all on the Sun label, they have had some real great musicians.
Kyalia 0 Posted September 13, 2003 It's sad that Johnny Cash is dead; I heard on the radio this morning. How apt.
