Former MLB Pitcher Sentenced to 14 years in Prison

Recommended Posts

Uggeth Urbina, former closer for the Expos, Red Sox and Marlins, was sentenced to serve 14 years in prison for attempting to murder five people on his farm in Venezuela.

Looks like the Prison Softball Team has found their new ace pitcher.

I've never heard of this guy. When was he active in MLB?

He was last active in 2005. He was the closer on the 2003 World Series Champion Marlins.

Ask Odo who he was, I believe he pitched in Detroit too. I know he's been in Boston too.

No doubt about that. Where would the Tigers have been last season without him?

Think the Phillies wish they still had him? But they got Chase Utley playing second for them and that kid is excellent.
