A police spokesman said man, who left his deposit at the bank eight times, was caught only after the bank installed video monitors to film him in action. He Who Shall Not Be Named 2 Posted March 7, 2007 I was barhopping with some friends in San Francisco (back when they still had straight bars) and I drank too much. I found what I thought was a nice place to puke and did so. After I was done, I looked up and in big writing on the walls read "Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco". This is the "local" branch of the Fed for about 10 states. And me being a good economics major, too.
MrPsychic 1 Posted March 7, 2007 Well, we you're done throwing up, you can get money out for more alcohol to replace the stuff you threw up.
He Who Shall Not Be Named 2 Posted March 7, 2007 Well, we you're done throwing up, you can get money out for more alcohol to replace the stuff you threw up. The Fed doesn't work like that. It is a central bank which determines monetary policy, controls the amount of money circulating in the economy (as opposed to the amount of cash in the economy which is a Treasury function) and acts as a bank for other banks. It is not as if you can walk up to an ATM at the Fed and make a withdrawl.
