VaBeachGuy 12 Posted February 22, 2007 I got this in an email today and found it interesting. Antares is the 15th brightest star in the sky, it is more than 1000 light years away.

LoveMalePecs1 0 Posted February 23, 2007 (edited) Wow Earth seems very small against the Antares Star in comparison and Ford Prefect also happened to have come from the Betelguse area of the Galaxy. Edited February 23, 2007 by LoveMalePecs1

mj 7 Posted April 5, 2007 Makes me think of that song Uhura sang in a TOS episode that ended with "...beyond Antares."
Lady Britannia 0 Posted April 5, 2007 (edited) Very interesting. Appealing too. Some may find it uncomfortable with the prospect of being a tiny-teeny part of a much larger universe. Personally I find it humbling, a demonstration that humans shouldn't get too cocky. A little humility is good for humanity I think.
