Are you tired of simulations that want to confine your imagination and writing talents? If you are, then the U.S.S. Horizon simulation is for you. We are a freeform, character-driven simulation that makes the Twilight Zone look like Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.

Sim Premise:

The U.S.S. Horizon is a Daedalus-class starship in the year 2169. The crew is entirely human. After leaving Sigma Iotia II (TOS' "A Piece of the Action"), the ship is taken in by a sentient black hole that slingshots them out of Federation space into the Tarantula Nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC).

Sim Plotline:

That's where the Star Trek portion of our simulation ends. The ship and 105 members of the crew survived the slingshot. After a week trying to find a way out of the Tarantula Nebula and figure out where they are, the ship finds a habitable solar system not far away. Upon approaching the system, the Horizon is gripped by a tractor beam and brought to land on the fourth planet in the Delta Nogosi IV system.

Upon capture, a mutiny transpires lead by the Horizon's Chief Medical Officer. He holds the entire crew hostage as his followers--almost completely Martian miners turned engineers--have rigged a nuclear device to the mater/anti-matter reactor. The CMO and thirty-nine (39) other members of the crew leave the ship after a stalemate has been reached. The mutineers have absconded with shuttles from another alien ship that has been brought to the planet and are no longer in contact with the rest of the crew.

The remaining crew is a cast filled with conflict. The Captain is a ladies' man who is attempting to sleep with every female on the ship to help propogate a new human race here in the LMC. The XO sided with the mutineers up until the point of their departure when she decided to stay with the Captain. The Chief Engineer and Second Officer is the Captain's ex-wife who isn't exactly on kilter and has now gone AWOL (she's been taken captive by natives but no one knows that yet). The Chief Science Officer is trying to mirror the Captain's prowess with women. His assistant is the object of both their attentions. The Assistant Chief Engineer can't stand that she's been left alone to clean up the mess. The Security Chief is simply pissed off at everyone else.

You may join the simulation on any of the sides: crew member, mutineer or alien. For more information on the aliens, please email me at cflamey@gmail.com and I'll fill you in on what's been done with them so far.
